Our testers were impressed how this boot’s major muscles juxtaposed with liner luxury and medium width breathing space. A good portion of the Challenger 130’s power can be traced to the snug fit at the heel and ankles, the boot’s control center. It's certainly not the lightest of the bunch—but we did note enough range of motion in its hike mode for parking lot treks, extended après lounging and marathon boot packing missions. The Challenger 130 also won the fat-with-features award. In addition to its lateral stance and cuff release mechanisms, Head's onboard Adaptive Fit technology provides the option to crank the width tighter by 2mm with a turn of the Allen wrench. Tester Comments: "I’ve never felt so balanced. Like piloting a sports car on a winding road." "Great power. Skis better than most Alpine-only boots."
