Pro No ski in the test had a tighter sidecut radius than the Fast Thang SL—a super deep-dish 10.7 meters at 155 cm. Rebound energy is excellent, and as you’d expect from its skate-blade waist width, its edge-grip is unassailable and further enhanced by the same Liquid Metal and Intelligence Technology found in the Monster i.M 82. In short, it’s a slalom ace’s dream, right? Well, yes, but ironically, the women preferred it in low edge angles and long turns. Go figure, and give the Fast Thang credit for versatility. Head built it from scratch specifically for women, and ours were appreciative. "Super-fun ski," MacConnell raved. "Solid, stable and predictable. Initiates nicely, and stays with you throughout the turn." Con Punishing tail is unkind to back-seat drivers.
