The CPM82 is a carbon-based, lightweight ski intended to shred all over the mountain. It has a 127 mm tip designed to be big enough for mowing over powder and other varied conditions while its 82 mm waist is designed to be small enough for groomers and other hardpack conditions. This is one of Kästle's most high-tech skis, mainly due to its carbon structure (only ski with it in the All Mountain Piste series). For something similar but skinnier, check out the MX70, MX78, LX72, and LX82. And for something similar but wider, check out the MX83, MX88, and MX98. This All Mountain Piste series focuses on skis intended to tear up all terrain all over the mountain. Woodcore and titanal top and bottom layers are designed to give the ski stability. Hollowtech technology hollows out the ski's tip, lightening the load and designed to further decrease chatter and other vibrations in the ski. Standard camber gives the ski a race-like radius designed for smooth turns no matter what terrain you're skiing on. If you spend a lot of time on hardpack but venture into rougher terrain pretty often as well, this is one of Kästle's best series for you. Kästle, based in Hohenems, Austria, was founded in 1924. Its U.S. headquarters are in Vail, Colorado.
