The TX77 is skinniest ski in Kästle's Tour series, with a 77 mm waist. It's also just about tied as the lightest in the series with the slightly wider TX82, with a weight range of 1240 - 1290 g, depending on length. If you're looking to charge up mountains and not always find powder on the way down, this is one of Kästle's best and more hardpack-focused options for you. For something similar but wider, check out the TX82, TX87, TX97, and TX107. Kästle's Tour series focuses on the increasingly popular ski touring scene. The series includes five different skis with weights ranging from 1220 - 1790 g, radii ranging from 14 - 26 m, and waists ranging from 77 - 107 mm. Karuba Woodcore is designed for stability while maintaining a lightweight profile. Standard Camber profile is intended for race-like turns no matter what terrain you're on. Hook Free Shovel and Hook Free Tail technologies move the ski's widest points slightly inwards from the tip and tail, designed for better turn initiation and decreased hooking. Hollowtech technology hollows out the ski's tip, lightening the load and designed to further decrease chatter and other vibrations in the ski. Kästle, based in Hohenems, Austria, was founded in 1924. Its U.S. headquarters are in Vail, Colorado.
