At 120, the flex was right on for the aggressive and ex-racing segment of our team. Our lighter and more lady-like rippers felt it a bit demanding but all testers praised the sapphire bullet for how well it let them ski. The boot is designed for low- to mid-volume feet and slotted in the tightest third of the category. While its low cuff may appeal to thicker calves since it strikes the leg slightly lower than a unisex boot, most testers commented that average to slender legs will do best here. As usual, the bulk of the commentary revolved around the RS 120’s perfect balance and hyper-aware snow feel. As with its big brothers, the RS 120 SC offers 1.5 degrees of cuff adjustment in or out. But it trims down the power strap width to 40mm and it lacks a Velcro rear spoiler. Note that the RS 120 SC is available in a true size 22.5—a nice option for micro rippers. Tester Comments: “There is a reason the Lange Girls only wear these boots…they are that good.” “These boots are insane. They improved my skiing.”
