The 2017 Blend, which returns unchanged, is a midfat, twin-tipped all-mountain generalist designed for equal duty in the park or anywhere on the mountain. It's designed to be traditionally (rearward) mounted, for a more directional flavor than other skis in Line's Freestyle collection. But symmetrical flex pattern makes it amenable to backwards skiing. With its 100-mm waist width, it'll float in all but the deepest powder and carve up Western softpack on days between storms. The Blend is built on a dense maple/aspen core, for durability and responsiveness. It's combination of forgiving cap construction with low sidewalls for edge grip. Metal-free construction keeps it light, lively, and affordable, but the Blend is the highest-priced ski in the Freestyle collection, with an MSRP of $750 and a "street price" of about $600.
