Latin for "great work," The Magnum Opus is an all mountain ski packed with a variety of technology shared amongst each model in the Eric Pollard Collection (see below). One thing not shared amongst the whole collection that the Magnum Opus has, though, is its Cloud Core, which is designed to be durable and lightweight due to a combination of wood and composite materials. This is a wide ski mainly intended for powder days, but it's also designed to get the job done on any terrain it's faced with. It also has a 17 m radius, built with versatility in mind. The Eric Pollard Collection is a powder and all mountain-focused collection that pro skier Eric Pollard has designed from the ground up, including the top sheet artwork. Early Rise technology lifts the tips and tails early in the ski (instead of a traditional short tip and tail), designed to make turn initiation and floating over powder easier. Longer Active Edge technology extends the edges up the tips and tails, built to increase edge grip. Five Cut technology combines five different sidecut designs, intended to collectively simplify turn initiation and grip. Sidewall technology incorporates dense polyethylene (light weight plastic) intended to absorb vibrations and keep the ski durable. Lastly, Symmetric Flex technology gives the same flex profile both in front of, and behind the boot, designed to make skiing forwards and backwards feel exactly the same. Line, founded in 1995, is based in Seattle, Washington.
