A little respect, please? True, Line got its start as a manufacturer of skiboards for park-and-pipe punks before broadening its offering to include full-size skis (exclusively twintips, still jib-specific). But the amazing Prophet signals its arrival as a leader in fat-ski performance. Surprising? Yes and no. Remember, Line's a new subsidiary of K2 Corp., presumably with access to all of K2 Skis' design and manufacturing prowess. The Prophet didn't just sneak into the medals; it stomped the landing with category-leading scores in four criteria: Quickness/Bumps, Rebound, Forgiveness and Balance of Skills. Sabanosh calls it "fun, spunky, maneuverable."
Deep powder, soft bumps, impressing the kids.
