Redesigned this season, the Sir Francis Bacon is intended as a playful all mountain ski with dimensions practical for everyday use. While the other models in the Eric Pollard Collection are quite wide, this ski is a bit skinnier with a 134 mm tip, 104 mm waist, and 131 mm tail intended to rip on any conditions or terrain. Its 17.4 m radius is also designed with versatility in mind for both big and small turns, depending on what the day presents you with. The Eric Pollard Collection is a powder and all mountain-focused collection that pro skier Eric Pollard has designed from the ground up, including the top sheet artwork. Early Rise technology lifts the tips and tails early in the ski (instead of a traditional short tip and tail), designed to make turn initiation and floating over powder easier. Longer Active Edge technology extends the edges up the tips and tails, built to increase edge grip. Five Cut technology combines five different sidecut designs, intended to collectively simplify turn initiation and grip. Sidewall technology incorporates dense polyethylene (light weight plastic) intended to absorb vibrations and keep the ski durable. Lastly, Symmetric Flex technology gives the same flex profile both in front of, and behind the boot, designed to make skiing forwards and backwards feel exactly the same. Line, founded in 1995, is based in Seattle, Washington.
