Las Vegas, NV, Mar. 1, 2000--This weekend, just about the entire ski industry will converge on Las Vegas, NV, for the annual Snowsports Industries America (SIA) trade show.

More than 500 companies that make everything from skis to boots to outdoor clothing to sunglasses will bring out their new top-of-the-line products and innovations for next ski season.

You can't get into this five-day event, which is for retailers and manufacturers only. But the show will determine what you find in your local ski shop next winter.

Some 10,000 retailers, who have traveled from as far away as Maine, British Columbia, and even Japan, will scour the floors for the best skis, boots, apparel, and outdoor gear.

So check back with SkiNet starting this Sunday for an inside look at what's cool, what's new, and what's going on behind the closed doors.
