Tyre-Grip„¢, an all-natural, spray-on tire adhesive, claims to increase snow traction when driving in snowy and wet conditions.

From the manufacturer: “Tyre-Grip„¢ is a thin resin film that is applied to your tires, which makes it harmless to road surfaces. Even more importantly, it does not run the risk of damaging your own drive train normally associated with chains or other traction devices.

The application process is very easy: shake the can, spray it on all 4 tires. After a few spins around the block and up a steep hill with no trouble there is a noticeable difference in the amount of snow caked on the tires. Tyre-Grip„¢ has been shown to work well in wet snowy conditions, but even in dry, new snow there is a visible effect.

The makers of Tyre-Grip„¢ also manufacturer a product for personal use on shoes, Shoe-Grip, which seems to help increase traction when walking in new and wet snow.
