Waist Width: 113
The Helldorado is tied as the widest and most powder-focused ski Nordica makes with the Patron. It has a 143 mm tip, 113 mm waist, 132 mm tail, and radii ranging from 16.5 - 21 m depending on length. This is a tool intended for epic days when a carving ski just won't cut it. Energy 2 Titanium construction is similar to a race ski with a full wood core and two metal sheets designed for ultimate stability and power. Meanwhile, Powder camROCK technology lifts the tip and tail up and off the snow, designed for floatation, and the cambered underfoot section is designed for carving on any terrain. For something that has identical dimensions but is a bit lighter, check out the Patron. And for something similar but skinnier, check out the Enforcer and Soul Rider. This ski is part of the Freeski Men's series, which focuses on skis intended for terrain outside of the groomers, whether it's the backcountry, trees, or wherever else gives you a thrill. These skis are intended to rip groomers when they need to, but their main purpose is to mow through powder and other various conditions elsewhere. The four models in the series have waists ranging from 97 - 113 mm and radii ranging from 14.5 - 21 m depending on length. Nordica, based in Giavera del Montello, Italy, was founded in 1939. Its U.S. headquarters are in West Lebanon, N.H.
