Pro In a category of bigger skis, the Jet Fuel was a refreshing surprise. At 84 mm underfoot, it wasn’t the most buoyant. Nor was it among the top skis for Long Turns, despite its racy wood-core and metal-reinforced layup. It was just fun as hell on a day when the powder was deepening, but not yet Snowbird-deep. Why? Quickness. The Jet Fuel ruled the Short Turns and Rebound Energy rankings with its energetic enthusiasm, and it put up a top-3 score in Forgiveness—a tribute to its XBS interface, which distributes pressure in a way that corrects fore-aft balance bobbles. Testers noted a tendency to plunge in powder, but liked the Jet’s attitude nonetheless. Said Woods: "Great versatility; powerful but forgiving; fun in almost all conditions." Con 178-cm test length lacked deep-powder flotation.
