Pro The Mint belongs to the new Gransport line of easy cruisers, but if you look at a cross section, you’ll see it’s similar in profile to high-performance Nordicas. Nordica uses the same basic profile throughout its line, mixing up the guts to achieve different ends. In the Mint, light foam makes up the middle third of the core, with wood on either side. That allows a degree of torsional flex, which relaxes tip- and tail-grip for a less-precise and less-tiring ride. Meanwhile, the fundamental design that works at the high end of Nordica’s line works here too. Testers gave the Mint a high Overall Impression score for its blend of easygoing low end and energetic high end. In Beekman’s words: "Playful and forgiving but never boring." Con Can irresponsibly egg you on to speeds where it doesn’t belong.
