Pro Nordica respectfully submits that what works for men works for women. Beyond graphics, it makes few concessions to the fairer sex. In the Victory, the metal is removed to enliven the ride, but it’s identical in construction to Nordica’s Hot Rod skis. Testers gave it some of the highest marks in the category, though they warned that the Victory performs best if you know how to work an edge. Like all the Hot Rods, it does feature one important element of forgiveness: Its X-Balance interface transmits excessive pressure at one end to the other, correcting fore-aft bobbles. Testers enjoyed the Victory’s power, finesse and balance of skills. "It’ll make you more creative and adventurous," said Sheinberg. "And more willing to try a gnarlier line." Con Minor quibbles over quickness and bump performance.
