Baby, it's cold outside, and now there's a camera that's up for the job.The freezeproof (to 14 degrees) 790's rugged metal body and shockproof construction make it hard to destroy. Drop it, submerge it, run over it with your skis — it's all good. The 4.8-oz. shooter still performs — and well, thanks to its 7.1-megapixel resolution and 3X optical zoom. Plus, the 2.5-inch LCD screen makes playback anything but a squint. Dropped it off the chairlift? You're in luck: The 790 comes in five easy-to-spot hues, including orange, yellow and blue. $299; olympusamerica.com
