A negligible 2 mm narrower than the Temptation 76, the Temptation 74 is similarly aimed at relaxed intermediates who stick mostly to the trail. It’s a virtually identical, value-oriented cap construction, though carbon fibers are used to reinforce its laminates instead of the aramide fibers in the 76. And it gets a less expensive binding, too – Rossi’s 10-DIN Saphir 100. Rossignol’s Temptation collection of women’s all-mountain skis splits the difference between its freeride-oriented 7 Series line of wide, soft-snow skis and frontside-oriented Unique line of hard-snow carvers. Waist widths range from 88 mm down to 74 mm, with stouter constructions for expert women at the high end of the line and softer, more economical rides for novice and intermediate women at the low end. All have wood cores reinforced with fiber laminates (no metal). As with the men’s Experience line, all feature Rossignol’s Auto Turn Rocker, which is a blend of 30 percent tip and tail rocker for shock absorption and soft-snow flotation with 70 percent camber for power and rebound.
