With a narrower, carvier waist (78 mm) than either the Temptation 88 or the Temptation 82, the Temptation 78 is more trail-oriented. It's also a bit lighter, softer and livelier on the snow, with carbon-reinforced laminates instead of basalt fibers. But vertical sidewalls underfoot (the extremities are softer cap construction), and a wood core are designed to give it good hardsnow grip and integrity. And like the Temptation 82, it's sold either flat or with an 11-DIN Saphir 110 binding. Rossignol's Temptation collection of women's all-mountain skis splits the difference between its freeride-oriented 7 Series line of wide, soft-snow skis and frontside-oriented Unique line of hard-snow carvers. Waist widths range from 88 mm down to 74 mm, with stouter constructions for expert women at the high end of the line and softer, more economical rides for novice and intermediate women at the low end. All have wood cores reinforced with fiber laminates (no metal). As with the men's Experience line, all feature Rossignol's Auto Turn Rocker, which is a blend of 30 percent tip and tail rocker for shock absorption and soft-snow flotation with 70 percent camber for power and rebound.
