The NFX is one of two park and pipe skis from Salomon, the other one being the TNT. This model is a bit more technology-packed, and comes in slightly bigger sizes (160 - 182 cm), targeted slightly more at more experienced park skiers (Salomon says this is the park ski most of their pro team rides). Full Sandwich Sidewall construction utilizes ABS plastic and laminates designed for a lightweight and durable profile. Full Woodcore is built in to give the ski stability and reduce chatter. Full camber is designed for solid turning ability in and out of the park. Jib Tech Base is more durable than other bases from Salomon, designed to hold up on harsh conditions. Pulse Pad Pro utilizes two layers of rubber throughout the ski, designed to absorb harsh landings and chatter. XL Edges are extra wide and thick, designed for extra durability. The ski is 86 mm at the waist and has a versatile 17.2 m radius (at 176 cm). Salomon, based in Annecy, France, was founded in 1947. Its U.S. headquarters are in Ogden, Utah.
