The all-new X-Drive 8.0 Ti is a carving-focused ski with a stiffer profile than many others in the Frontside All Mountain series. It has an 80 mm waist and 13.6 m radius (at 170 cm), intended for quick and snappy turns on whatever terrain it's tackling. Semi-Sandwich Sidewall construction utilizes ABS plastic, designed for edge grip and an easier, more maneuverable turning experience. Woodcore is built to give the ski stability and reduce chatter. All Terrain Rocker 2.0 lifts the tail up and off the ground, designed to absorb varied conditions and maneuver better, while the tail is slightly lifted as well, designed to absorb further chatter and other vibrations. X-Chassis utilizes carbon and polyamide layers, designed for edge grip and stability. RKS uses 3D composite fiber, designed to stabilize rockered zones. Double Ti Laminate utilizes two layers of titanium, designed for extra stability and powerful turns. For something similar from Salomon, check out one of the other X-Drive models from the Frontside All Mountain series. And for something extra similar but a bit softer, check out the X-Drive 8.0 Ti's brother, the X-Drive 8.0, which features only one layer of titanium instead of two. Salomon, based in Annecy, France, was founded in 1947. Its U.S. headquarters are in Ogden, Utah.
