Waist Width: 94
The Cascade 95 is the skinnier and lighter model in Scott's two-model Cascade series. It has a 93 - 95 mm waist depending on ski length, intended to perform equally well with hardpack and powder, and weighs in between 1190 - 1390 g depending on ski length. For something similar but wider, check out the Cascade 110. The Cascade series specializes in the constantly evolving ski touring scene. Its wood core is combined with carbon stringer laminates (strips of carbon fiber) intended to make the ski as lightweight as possible for easier touring. 3Dimension Sidecut technology gives the tip and tail their own radii, designed for precise edge control. Full Ski Length Wood Core is intended to give the ski a smooth and evenly distributed flex pattern. Twin-Tip Rocker integrates rocker into the tip and tail designed for floatation and playfulness. Meanwhile, a cambered underfoot section is intended to stay locked down on the ground when it needs to for classic carving. Scott, based in Givisiez, Switzerland, was founded in 1958. Its U.S. headquarters are in Salt Lake City, Utah.
