Pro Like the Mission (see page 86), the Rosa brings more sidecut to the game than others, plus a pleasing combination of muscle and finesse. And like the men, our female testers couldn’t deny the obvious talent of this easygoing newcomer. The Rosa is softer than the Mission—and 4 mm narrower, which gives it a broad performance range that happily includes groomers. And in the shorter women’s sizes, its sidecut radius is like something you’d find on an FIS-approved slalom ski. Ironically, it prefers medium to long turns, though in a pinch, a high edge-angle will deliver its pilot safely through tight spots. And even in Snowbird fluff, it’s unfailingly buoyant. "Very nicely balanced, with great skills across the board," said Schaffer. "And in powder and crud, it’s a machine." Con Tip shape—broad and low—takes getting used to.
