Waist Width: 88
The Superguide 88 is the skinnier and lighter model in Scott's two-model Mountain Skis series. It has an 88 mm waist intended to perform well with hardpack and powder, but more so with hardpack. The ski also weighs in between 1190 - 1390 g depending on ski length. For something similar but wider, check out the Superguide 88. The Mountain Skis series specializes in the constantly evolving ski touring scene. A wood core is combined with carbon and kevlar, intended to make the ski as lightweight as possible for easier touring. Pro-Tip Rocker raises the tip up and off the ground, meant to make turn initiation and execution easier, especially in powder. 3Dimension Sidecut technology gives the tip and tail their own radii, designed for precise edge control. Full Ski Length Wood Core is intended to give the ski a smooth and evenly distributed flex pattern. Scott, based in Givisiez, Switzerland, was founded in 1958. Its U.S. headquarters are in Salt Lake City, Utah.
