KETCHUM, Idaho July 19, 2004 — Smith Optics is pleased to announce that in the face of ever-increasing retail prices, they have lowered the suggested retail price of all Polarized Sliders from $159 to $129 and added a fourth specialty lens tint, repositioning the line and increasing consumer value.
With the addition of Smith’s 100 percent UV-protecting Clear lens tint, the Polarized Slider collection now manages all light conditions with distortion-free TLT Optics„¢. With four lenses included standard in all Polarized Sliders, consumers can rely on Smith to meet all of their sport eyewear needs. The models now ship with an installed Polarized lens that eliminates 99.9 percent of glare to increase visual acuity and reduce eye fatigue. In all packages, standard RC36, yellow, and clear lenses are also included. Smith’s all-condition RC36 lens tint eliminates blue light for maximum depth perception, the Yellow lens for enhancing object definition in low light conditions and the Clear for use at night or in very low light conditions. The polarized package now provides users with an unparalleled collection of specialty lens tints for use in any light condition.
While others rely on mass-produced lenses causing increased haze and low scratch resistance, Smith uses a unique injection process, individually building each lens to ensure maximum clarity, scratch resistance and precise optics. All Smith Polarized Carbonic„¢ lenses pass ANSI Z80.3 safety standards and eliminate vision-blurring haze found in many competing products. The Polarized Sliders come in seven different frame designs offering style choices to suit any need.
