Cruising through the gates for a couple of early runs? A big old backpack is overkill, don’t you think? So does The North Face; hence the PGV. Spyder makes the uniform for Errol Kerr, sole member of the Jamaican ski team and Olympic ski-cross hopeful. Here's a look at his apparel.

Outside, a two-layer 12-denier shell with DWR sheds moisture. The chest-to-hip pockets double as core vents.Weight: women’s, 16.3 oz.; men’s, 19.5 oz.[$299; eddiebauer.com/firstascent]
