The Rotor 80 is a park/pipe-inspired twin-tip. Unlike the competition-ready Rotor 84, though, it gets a bi-directional sidecut (wider in the tip than tail, optimized for skiing forward, not switch) for all-mountain versatility. It has wood-core, laminate construction with full-length vertical sidewalls. (Wood gives its responsiveness and durability; vertical sidewalls give it optimal edge grip.) Stockli Skis, now 75 years old and under its third generation of family ownership, is based in Wohusen, Switzerland, near Lucerne.
