Waist Width: 78
The Stormrider Light is intended for ski touring purposes, coming in with a 2,600 g weight, 78 mm waist, and 14.5 - 18.5 m radius range depending on length. The ski utilizes Soft Rocker technology, which lifts the tip up and over powder and other varied conditions, designed to increase floatation and make turn initiation easier. For something similarly touring-focused but a bit wider and heavier, check out the Stormrider Vario. The all-new Freeride series is comprised of eight different powder-focused models, all falling under the the "Stormrider" subcategory. There's the Stormrider Pro 115, Stormrider 107, Stormrider 95, Stormrider 88, Stormrider 100 Motion, Stormrider Motion, Stormrider Vario, and Stormrider Light. All skis in the series share Light Core technology, which integrates woods like fuma and balsa, designed to reduce weight while maintaining durability and stability. Outside of this shared technology, however, each model has its own unique set of technology to set itself apart from the others. If you're looking to ski powder and other varied conditions outside of the groomers, this might be the best series Stockli has to offer you. Stockli, based in Wolhusen, Switzerland, was founded in 1935. Its U.S. headquarters are in Shelburne, Vermont.
