Testers were blown away by the boot's new cushy-comfy attitude. The phase-out of the metal Power Chassis boot sole and completely revised liner construction brought a much improved fit along the shin and over the top of the foot in a lighter, more reactive ride. Skiers with narrow-to-medium width, high-arched feet (and maybe a gnarly bump on top) will love the added ceiling height here. Testers gave a universal thumbs-up to the boot's on-snow capabilities. From the first skate away from the test center it was apparent that the game was on. Think it and it will do it. The R9.8 is an able facilitator in any skiing challenge. The R9.8's solid sole is designed for massive power transmission. It's got a removable Velcro spoiler for those wanting a taller stance and a dual cuff adjustment for max leg shaft alignment potential. Tester comment: "I've never felt a more perfect position on my skis."
