Enjoy six full days of guided skiing in Portillo, Chile and let Kim Reichhelm show you to the best snow and terrain on the mountain.

Kim Reichhelm, former US Ski Team member and two-time World Extreme Skiing Champion, is chasing the endless winter and heading down to Ski Portillo this August. She invites you to join her.

Ski With Kim, a ski guide company that Reichhelm founded in 1989 and has since expanded around the globe, just released its 2018 summer schedule with two weeks slotted for Portillo, Chile.

Laguna del Inca, Portillo

The oldest ski area in South America, Ski Portillo was established around Laguna del Inca (Lake of the Inca) in the mid-twentieth century and has since drawn skiers from around the globe in search of an extended ski season, breathtaking alpenglows and seemingly endless runs of untracked powder on faces of the Andes—the highest mountain range outside of the Himalayas.

Reichhelm’s Portillo ski weeks promise to give guests a chance to experience all the above.

A professional skier and guide, Reichhelm has designed her Portillo ski weeks to introduce intermediate to expert skiers to the best of Southern Hemisphere skiing: access to over 2,000 acres of minimally groomed terrain and world-class hospitality at the exclusive and remote Ski Portillo resort. Each week includes six full days of guided skiing, two private dinner parties, and transportation to and from Santiago de Chile Airport.

For those who love the après scene as much as a stellar day on snow, check out “Friends Week”, the first of the two Ski With Kim weeks from Aug. 11-18. This week will emphasize socializing and camaraderie, a big part of Chilean culture, and events include cocktail parties, a wine tasting and guest ski race.

The second week, Aug. 18-25, will celebrate Wine Fest, a week-long opportunity for guests to taste, enjoy and learn about Chilean wine.

“Skiing is only part of the experience,” Reichhelm said in a press statement. “A week in Portillo is magical on all levels. It is full of music, dancing, entertainment, wine, après, special events and a lively vibe from a friendly staff and other ski enthusiasts who are dedicated enough to migrate south to ski in the summer.”

Groups are limited to six guests to give skiers an intimate and personal guiding experience and allow each guest to ski and progress at their own pace. Spots fill up quickly, so make your reservations sooner rather than later. Bookings can be made through the Ski With Kim website at skiwithkim.com.

And if you’re looking to step up your adventure game even further, Ski With Kim is offering a Chile Heli Skiing week, also in Portillo, from Aug. 25-Sept.1. See you there?
