It doesn’t take a lot of time, you don’t need any fancy equipment, and it can vastly improve the way you feel on the slopes. According to Michael Mullin, head athletic trainer at the Stone Clinic in San Francisco, warming up in the lodge is crucial for staying loose on the hill. He recommends you do the following three exercises before hitting the slopes, so you can enjoy a healthy back and a long, fun day.

Standing with your hands pressed against the lower back on top of the buttocks, slowly push your chest out until your back gets tight. Release and repeat 10 times.
