Are you backcountry curious, but don’t know how to take the first steps? Whistler Blackcomb–based Extremely Canadian, instructors of inbounds steep-skiing clinics, brings ski coaching into the backcountry and opens up 25,000 acres of guided terrain with its new Backcountry Adventures clinics.

Located in Garibaldi Provincial Park and accessed via the Whistler Blackcomb lifts, the Extremely Canadian's clinics, whether inbounds or out, offer as much instruction as you want, but the focus is on the skiing. You won't be left pining for first tracks on creamy slopes while you review the shape of snow crystals. There is plentiful skiing on terrain suited for your level and interests, with a dose of backcountry technique, awareness, and safety.

Extremely Canadian's Backcountry Adventure Clinics are guided by ACMG guides, including ACMG President Keith Reid, who helped develop the program. Guides share their decision making, avy assessment, skin technique, and anything else you need, directlng you to breathtakingly beautiful lines. You'll learn techniques and tactics to hone your skiing, boost your avalanche safety knowledge, and heighten your awareness in big mountain terrain. Whether it’s your first day in the backcountry or you’re a seasoned shredder looking to step it up, you'll get memorable descents, some new skills, and as much skiing as your legs can handle.
