Arapahoe Basin, CO (Arapahoe Basin Press Release)—The final day of the Colorado 2005 – 2006 ski season will be Sunday, June 4. A-Basin continues its legacy to remain one of the last ski areas open in North America.

Spring/summer conditions exist with top to bottom skiing and riding. The Mutha’ Hucker terrain park is open with jumps and rails. Only intermediate skiing is available on the mountain at this time.

To celebrate closing day A-Basin will host a barbeque and Jammin’ Sounds DJ spinning favorite tunes in the base area on Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m. – weather permitting. Coors will be on hand for giveaways and Vitamin Water samples will also be handed out while supplies last.

Next season’s Arapahoe Basin Bonus pass is now available starting at $279. The pass includes unlimited skiing at A-Basin plus, five non-transferable ski days valid at Keystone and Breckenridge for the 2006-2007 ski season. One of those ski days can be used at Vail or Beaver Creek (some restriction apply). A-Basin only adult 2006-07 season passes start at $229.

Lift lines are short, parking is free and skier services will be available through close including ski, board and clothing rental, retail shop, cafeteria, food and beverage and 6th Alley bar. Ski school lessons are still available for intermediate skiers or riders until closing day
