Big Sky, MT, Oct. 19, 2000--A blue ceiling arched over skiers at Montana's Big Sky Ski and Summer Resort on Tuesday, the first full day of winter operations. Big Sky opened the slopes at noon on Monday following a three-foot snowfall and will reopen on weekends until Thanksgiving Day when the resort opens in full. If demand warrants Big Sky may run operations three days a week, but must restrain early season operations due to limited personnel, not lack of snow.

Don't sleep in this Saturday, because when the bowl opens three feet of fresh snow will be waiting!
