Bozeman’s town hill, Bridger Bowl, is a local favorite with some serious terrain, a friendly vibe, and plenty of snowfall to ensure a hearty snowpack throughout the season.
It’s no destination resort but that’s not to say the terrain can’t sustain a multi-day visit. Experts flock to North Bowl’s black-diamond glades and bumps, while intermediates lap the blues in South Bowl, including the groomed runs off the Pierre’s Knob triple. The well-prepared—in both technique and safety equipment—should hike the Ridge, a 600-vertical-foot trek from the top of the Bridger Chair to the cornices over North and South bowls. It’s what sets Bridger apart.
