It’s baaaaack! The 24th annual Celebrity SkiFest hits the slopes the first weekend of December, the official sign that ski season has arrived. The year’s festivities kick off on Friday, Dec. 4 when the celebrities gather at The Montage for a charity poker tournament. They better not stay out too late: Saturday’s giant slalom starts bright and early on the Bird’s-Eye trail, pitting seasoned athletes against eager celebs. Saturday night features a gala dinner and auction benefitting the Waterkeeper Alliance, an organization that defends communities whose water sources are in jeopardy. Since partnering with the Waterkeeper Alliance in 2006, Deer Valley has helped to raise over $5 million to benefit the cause. Also on Saturday, enjoy a performance by country singer Dierks Bentley. The ski races conclude on Sunday.

So who’s racing this year? Returning athletes include Olympians Phil and Steve Mahre, Tommy Moe (pictured), and resort ambassador Heidi Voelker. Racing for Team Celeb is Robert Kennedy, Jr., Rob Morrow, Maria Bello, Cheryl Hines, Alicia Silverstone, and Rachel Harris. Game on!

The races are free and open to the public, and can be viewed from the Silver Lake areas at mid-mountain. They will also be aired the following weekend, Dec. 13, on CBS.
