This winter Delta Airlines will provide daily flight service from Atlanta, GA to Colorado's Eagle Airport, a stone's throw away from several top-notch ski areas.Vail, CO, August, 3--Getting to the Summit County, CO ski areas will be a little easier for skiers this winter. Delta Airlines will offer new flights out of its Altanta, GA, hub, which connects to major cities around the country. Delta will operate daily round-trip flights from Atlanta to the Eagle County Airport in Vail, CO.
Colorado's Summit county ski areas including Vail, Beaver Creak, Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, and Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, and Buttermilk are all within an hour or two by car.
The 183-seat Boeing 757 will carry the service beginning on Dec. 22, 2000 and ending Mar. 31, 2000. Atlanta to Eagle flights are scheduled from 10:25 a.m. EST to 12:00 p.m. MST and Eagle to Atlanta flights will be from 1:00 p.m. EST to 6:05 p.m. MST.
In addition to more flights this time of year Delta is also offering vacation packages to Vail, CO that include hotel accommodations, ground transportation from the airport or a "skierized" rental car, and one day of free rental equipment with two or more paid days. An optional Travel Protection Plan allows cancellation of the trip for any reason for a full refund of the package price.
