Eagle Ridge

A small, cozy hotel close to the slopes.
Eagle Ridge

For a smaller, more personal experience, that is still close to the mountain, stay at Eagle Ridge. The hotel offers a number of options for room size to accommodate families and large groups, but don’t (the hotel doesn’t) skimp out on the smaller rooms either. When you walk into your room for the first time, pop open the complimentary bottle of (quality!) wine and bask in the spaciousness of the place. Surprisingly, the rooms are huge, but still feel cozy and inviting. If you are sensitive to noise, make sure to ask for a room facing away from the communal pool and hot tub area, even though it is convenient to be able to pop down after a day on the slopes. If communal soaking isn’t your thing, just sit in the huge tub in your room before bed. In the morning, with your calf muscles are all loosened up, break out your gear and head to the gondola. The walk from the hotel is a little hefty to tackle in ski boots, but is totally doable. Try walking in street shoes and then changing, taking your shoes along in a backpack. Don’t forget to grab fresh apple cider and donuts in the lobby on your way out.
