t Fortress-the highest ski area in the Canadian Rockies, with a base elevation at 6,692 feet-captivating sights of jagged, snow-laced peaks are in your view at all times. This is a bare-bones resort with old lifts that take skiers up 1,082 vertical feet to access three faces, where there is easy cruising and great tree skiing on powder days.
