Crystal Mountain, MI, Aug. 29, 2001–For practitioners of skiing, there’s hardly a reason for resorts to entice us onto their slopes. We love to ski so we go skiing. Newcomers, however, often need a little encouragement to journey to the hill for the first time. Crystal Mountain, MI has hit on a winning combination, sure to turn some skeptic novices into hardcore believers this winter.

Just-FOUR-Beginners is a four-session, learn-to-ski program geared toward instilling the confidence and proficiency needed to make new entrants into the sport lifelong skiers. At the completion of the four lessons, students receive a free, unlimited 2001/2002 ski pass to Crystal, as well as free midweek ski rentals for the remainder of the 2001/2002 ski season.

Just-FOUR-Beginners costs just $199 per person, and is for beginner skiers, age 13 and up. There are twelve separate, four-week sessionsto choose from, offered on Tuesday and Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons; each class is limited to 10 student, and an all-day lift ticket and rental is included with each of the four lessons.

“Everyone knows that the better you are at something, the more youenjoy it. That is the premise behind Just-FOUR-Beginners,” said KarynThorr, Crystal’s director of skier services. “By investing in a series offour, progressive lessons, students will find that they are more skilled and confident in their skiing, and that equates to a safer, more enjoyable time on the slopes for them.”
