Kirkwood has unveiled its season pass sale pricing for 2008-09, along with plans to install two additional surface lifts for next season. KIRKWOOD, CA - April 2008 - Currently enjoying some of the best spring skiing and snowboarding conditions in Tahoe, Kirkwood Mountain Resort has unveiled its season pass sale pricing for 2008-09 (see below) along with plans to install two additional surface lifts for next season.
This season's passholders can purchase passes for next season at last year's prices until April 30th. This equates to a savings of up to $130. Additionally, guests can still purchase a $99 Spring Pass valid the remainder of the season and get the lowest pricing on 2008-09 season pass renewals. For all the details (including current conditions), log onto kirkwood.com or call 877-KIRKWOOD.
"We are fortunate to have so many skiers and riders call Kirkwood their home mountain," said Chip Seamans, General Manager of Kirkwood. "To show our appreciation to our passholders, we've decided to keep our 08-09 pass prices the same as last season until April 30th."
Kirkwood also announced new pass products for the 2008-09 season. Guests can choose from an Unlimited Pass (valid 7 days a week, no restrictions), 7WOOD Pass (Valid 7 days a week, restricted on holidays) or a 6WOOD pass (valid 6 days a week, restricted on Saturdays & holidays). The 6Wood Pass is a new option for Kirkwood passholders and will replace the long standing Midweek Pass to now include Sundays. Further benefits include lodging discounts, buddy tickets, online deals and reciprocal privileges at Durango Mountain Resort in Colorado.
Additionally, Kirkwood plans to install two new surface lifts for next season that will access hundreds of acres of additional lift-served terrain. The Covered Wagon Lift will access the previously "hike-to" terrain of Fawn Ridge while the Lookout Vista Lift will access Button Bowl, Sunnyside, and the famed chutes of Thunder Saddle.
Possibly the best deal this spring is Kirkwood's "free lift ticket" to passholders from any California or Nevada resort. It's an "open house" showcasing Kirkwood's incredible spring conditions and previewing next year's lift improvements. Guests can present any valid 07-08 CA/NV season pass along with ID to the ticket office to receive one complimentary lift ticket until closing day, April 27th (non-transferable, not for resale, only valid the day of issue).
Also, Spring Break revelers can hit the slopes with an unbeatable $35 lift ticket for College Students. To qualify, students must show ID, student ID, a transcript demonstrating at least 9 units and purchase a Kirkwood College Card for $10 (a 50% savings).
Finally, Spring Lodging Packages are also available with Stay and Ski/Ride Free Packages available seven days a week with a two night minimum. Rates start as low as $95 per person. Call 209.258.7293 for details.
