Breckenridge, CO, Sept. 26–Main Street Breckenridge provided the perfect setting for Oktoberfest; a quaint Victorian mining town cradled between hills covered in the reds, yellows, and greens of fall. But a pre-season snowstorm kept all but the dedicated and warm-blooded inside.
With commemorative beer steins in hand, revelers listened and danced to a lederhosen-clad oompah band who showed no signs of dampened spirits from the snow. Children found entertainment in the ferris wheel or climbing wall and bargain hunters found all they could desire at the ski swap.
But all attendees were in high spirits thanks to the abundance of fluffy flakes that brought memories of skiing and camaraderie on the mountains and fueled hope for a good season to come.
