Yeah yeah, we know, museums, yawn. But this is different, we promise. Take in 500 years of skiing history including an extensive collection of vintage Mammoth photos and equipment as well as historical skiing artifacts from the Eastern Sierra. The sheer amount of  skiing equipment, photography, and literature here is staggering and the rotating exhibits are impressive. The Mammoth Ski Museum also screens the film “Mammoth Dreams” chronicling the founding of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in their Pioneer Theater daily, a must see for any and all ski fanatics. Finally, for those looking for that vintage ski poster to adorn the walls of their cabin, the museum shop has a collection that is second to none.
