Hey moms, think you’re an expert getting your family to the mountain? We could have a job for you. Park City Mountain Resort is looking for up to 15 moms—or dads, or grandparents— to join their Snowmamas team. Snowmamas was started last November to give families traveling to the resort—and traveling in general— a resource for trip planning, gear, ski school, and how to wrangle their kids.
“We wanted to make winter family travel planning easier, and where better to get that information than from than moms themselves,” says Krista Parry, the resort’s director of marketing, who started the program.
Last year, the program had seven moms, including Parry and Mary Flinn Ware, who runs PCMR’s children’s ski school. Now, they’re looking to grow the group to more than 20 to give moms looking for advice a bigger pool of expertise.
Parry says they’re looking for a diverse group, and they want moms from different parts of the country, with different experiences. “If I’m a mom of teenagers I don’t want to hear from moms with little kids,” she says.
New Snowmamas will be responsible for answering questions on the group’s website, and blogging. They’ll also attend Snowmama summits to talk about parents’ roles in the ski industry.
“We want to make it easier for families,” Parry says.
Think you’re the next snowmama? Applications are due by midnight this Friday, the 15th.
