Osprey at Beaver Creek, Beaver Creek, Colo.

Formerly the Inn at Beaver Creek, the property was reborn as the Osprey in late 2008—a $7 million renovation that touched every corner of the hotel. Gone are the wallpaper and upholstered couches in the lobby, replaced by leather seating, birch lamps and native stone. The 47 updated rooms and suites have flatscreen TVs, MP3 docking stations and fireplaces. Property-wide amenities include a ski valet, a small fitness center, and an outdoor pool and hot tub with a firepit. A lobby restaurant serves a tapas-style menu offering bites of the freshest local ingredients. And for those skiing bell to bell, the convenience factor is high: The Strawberry Park quad is right out the back door. $270–$834; ospreyatbeavercreek.com
