Resorts of the Year 2019: Most Accessible Resorts in the East
Top 10 resorts in the East for Access, according to SKI's Reader Resort Survey.
1. Wachusett, Mass.

“For a local mountain, Wachusett is a great value including snow, terrain, and accessibility “
2. Mount Snow, Vt.

“We love the mountain and the good value ski-and-stay packages. Good location, not too far from N.J. for a long weekend.”
3. Holiday Valley, N.Y.
“Holiday Valley is the best ski resort in western N.Y. It is the best place to ski for anyone heading out of Ohio. It is a 3 1/2 hour drive from Canton, Ohio for me but it is well worth it!”
4. Seven Spring, Pa.

“Seven Springs has done a great job positioning themselves as a true year-round destination for families. We’re looking to consider spending much more family time at and around the resort.”
5. Loon, N.H.

“Loon is a perfect family mountain. The parks are awesome and it is all highway so easy to get to no meter the weather! Staff is the best all around!”
6. Stratton, Vt.

“Stratton has been my home mountain for over 10 years and where I learned how to snowboard after I switched from skiing. The atmosphere, vibe, terrain are all second to none. Stratton’s grooming team does an impeccable job even during tough weather days. I love Stratton and look forward to the positive changes the new parent company will bring to it.”
7. Cannon Mt., N.H.

“Cannon is a very easy day trip from the Boston area, offering the best (by far!) terrain and snow within two hours. Being in a National Forest, Cannon is not overbuilt like some resorts, but that limits the lodging, dining, and après-ski activities. Fantastic value!
8. Okemo, Vt.

“A great cruisers mountain…. for the most part wide trails great for speed and GS turning….mid week at Okemo you can really rip it up.”
9. Bretton Woods, N.H.

“We drove up from Boston to ski the last day of the year, and the snow was still very good. Bretton Woods deserves its reputation for a ideal place to ski fairly easy runs with usually great snow. Staying the the grand hotel too makes for a great weekend getaway. Even my teenagers were impressed.”
10. Killington, Vt.

“The Beast of the East, is the first to open and last to close. Killington makes it happen for snowmaking and grooming. Plenty of weekend special events.”
