1. Tremblant, Quebec

Tremblant, Quebec

"Tremblant's village is at the base of the mountain and has many hotels, restaurants and bars, so après-ski is very easy. The village is a lot of fun and charming. Locals are quite nice, we had a couple show us around on our first day. Overall great experience we'd go back."

2. Killington, Vt.

"One of the best places to ski on the East coast. Great customer service on and off the mountain. Great après-ski on and around the entire resort of Killington."

3. Holiday Valley, N.Y.

"Holiday Valley's ownership invests liberally each year in improvements. And, a real fun small town for après-ski. It doesn't get better than this south of New England."

4. Sugarloaf, Maine

"Love the Loaf. The Rack is my favorite bar/restaurant anywhere. Also can't beat après at The Widowmaker or Bag burgers at The Bag. New on-mountain restaurant/bar that opened this year called Hunker Down was also a big hit. Kids love the Sugar Bowl for bowling, arcades, and nachos."

5. Seven Springs, Penn.

Sugarbush Top 10 Apres

Sugarbush, Vt.

"Sugarbush is a low-key mountain with some of the most challenging and accessible terrain in the east (Castlerock, Slidebrook, etc.). Great lift system (there's never a long line) and great après (Castlerock Pub, Rumble's Kitchen) to boot."

9. Smuggler’s Notch, Vt.

"Very family-friendly and lots of après-ski for families, less so for the partying type of après-ski, as there are not too many bars at Smuggs."

10. Mad River Glen, Vt.

"Personally I think MRG's General Stark's Pub is all the dining, après, and nightlife a person could need or want. 10 out of 10."
