1. Mount Snow, Vt.
"Mount Snow's snowmaking capacity is incredible thanks to their new reservoir and pumping stations. Its grooming has always been best in class, and now that they have a first rate snowmaking system, they are heads and shoulders above any competitors in the Northeast."
2. Okemo, Vt.
"A great mountain for an advanced intermediate skier. Grooming and snow making always A+, the bubbles are nice for when it's cold and windy. Easy drive to get there. Always enjoyable!"
3. Bretton Woods, N.H.
"Amazing care is given to grooming and making the conditions as great as they can be , situated in a snow globe!"
4. Smugglers' Notch, Vt.
"Smuggs will always be where my soul is happiest. The atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming. The trails are challenging and the views are phenomenal. There's so much variety in the terrain. The layout of the ski trails keeps beginners away from intermediate/expert trails. Smuggs does an incredible job of grooming their trails. The lifts run at a speed that keeps challenging terrain from becoming dangerously overcrowded."
5. Wachusett, Mass.
"Great snowmaking that's only shadowed by the incredible grooming. Hands down a great ski area."
6. Mount Sunapee, N.H.
"The care that Sunapee puts into keeping its slopes in great condition is impressive and well appreciated by this skier!"
7. Loon, N.H.
"Loon's snowmaking and grooming are topnotch!! Trails on South Peak are fantastic for intermediate to expert with a quick lift."
8. Sunday River, Maine
"I have skied Sunday River for over 20 years and I find it is one of the best. Sometimes New England weather is not what makes for great conditions, but that is something we have no control over. The resort does a great job of grooming in all conditions."
9. Stratton, Vt.
"Stratton has been my home mountain for over 10 years. The atmosphere, vibe, and terrain are all second to none. Stratton's grooming team does an impeccable job even during tough weather days."
10. Sugarbush, Vt.
"We ski here every year almost every weekend of the winter. It is a great place and it has terrain for all skiers. They do a great job grooming which you need in Vermont or else the runs will turn to ice. They have one peak which they don't groom and it is probably one of the most fun places to ski."
