Silver Star Lodge, Park City, Utah

New this ski season, Silver Star is a micro-village of condos, townhomes and cottages at the base of the Silver Star lift, on the site of the former Silver King and Spiro mines. (Several portions of the original buildings were melded into the design.) Accommodations range from two-bedroom suites to five-bedroom cottages, and all have gourmet kitchens, gas fireplaces and soaking tubs. In the adjacent village, Silver Star Market & Café sells breakfast and lunch items, as well as gourmet snacks and groceries. A lift ticket kiosk and rental shop answer the call for convenience. $560–$3,360; resortswest.com/silverstar
