Ski Martock, Nova Scotia’s most popular ski and snowboard area, is roughly halfway between Halifax and Kentville, about 45 minutes from Halifax and a scant half hour from Kentville, on good roads. Its 600 vertical feet and seven trails are served by a base-to-summit fixed-grip quad, two T-bars, and two rope tows. Martock, which typically has a season of 100 days or better, buzzes day and night, seven days a week, from nine in the morning until 10 at night. All the trails are lighted and covered by snowmaking.
