skiing at Ski Santa Fe

The desert enjoyed this turn, too.

Last season’s dreadful winter notwithstanding, skiing at Ski Santa Fe, at a base elevation of over 10,000 feet, is something to experience. Rising above the artsy city of Santa Fe—which is just as charming in the winter as it is the rest of the year—this 660-acre hill might not be huge, but it’s got great beginner and intermediate terrain, and even a handful of double-black bowls and glades off the Tesuque Peak triple. Bonus: Views out over the Sangre de Cristo mountains are always stunning—but especially so from the 12,000-foot summit.
